What’s for dinner: Whenever

I’ve lost track of the days. Last weekend was my daughter’s 3rd birthday party and this week has just kind of disappeared. I keep taking pictures of stuff and then forgetting to write about it. So here’s a few that were worth noting. Above, my not as lovely version of Framed Cooks’ Fettuccine with Leeks … Continue reading »

What’s for dinner: Saturday

Dinner tonight was slightly experimental. The pasta is just capellini with olive oil, red pepper flakes, sliced garlic, Pecorino Romano, and chopped parsley. The parsley came from today’s CSA box, which is super green heavy. It’s called Pasta Mezzanotte and it takes about ten minutes to make. Super easy. It was fine, but not exciting. … Continue reading »

What’s for Dinner: Wednesday

Today is the husband’s birthday, and he requested his favorite dish, Tagine of Lamb and Apricots in Honey Sauce. It’s seriously delicious. I’ve never blogged it because it doesn’t feature CSA fare, and is totally unchanged from the original recipe. I’m sure I could throw in some sweet potatoes, or leeks, or something from our CSA … Continue reading »

Curried Coconut Lentils

Hooray for Pinterest! I have found some fantastic food blogs via other pinners. This one comes from Pinch of Yum and includes a few changes based on what I had in the fridge that week from the CSA – but it is mostly intact. This is a delicious dish – use the full amount of Tom … Continue reading »

Pan Roasted Salmon with Vegetables

I’m vague-ing it up a bit on the title because this dish is a work in progress. I started with this recipe. And can I tell you how sad I am that the print version of Everyday Food is going away? It’s become one of my very favorite food mags. Sniff. Anyway, the November issue … Continue reading »

Sweet Potato Chocolate Chip Muffins

This is one of my current favorite muffin recipes. We have a ton of lovely sweet potatoes from the CSA lately, and I love how these come out – light, spicy, and delicious for breakfast. Lillian calls them “orange cupcakes”. 1 1/2 cups sugar (I used organic) 1/2 cup canola oil 2 eggs 1 tsp … Continue reading »
