What’s for Dinner Sunday: CSA Korean Pancakes

Yes, Tiffany did an awesome version of these. My version is based off of this one, which has a slightly different makeup. My mom is visiting, and she also has a CSA in California so she also has lots of “kitchen sink” recipes. We’ve been trying hers (to be blogged soon), but we are both … Continue reading

Garlic Soup with Poached Eggs and Croutons

I’ve been channeling my inner Julia again.  Mastering the Art of French Cooking is out and about and getting progressively more dog-eared on my counter.  When flipping through looking for some sauce or something, I stumbled across a recipe for Aigo Bouido Soupe a l’Oeuf, Provencale, or garlic soup with poached eggs.  We just received … Continue reading

What’s for dinner: Saturday

Dinner tonight was slightly experimental. The pasta is just capellini with olive oil, red pepper flakes, sliced garlic, Pecorino Romano, and chopped parsley. The parsley came from today’s CSA box, which is super green heavy. It’s called Pasta Mezzanotte and it takes about ten minutes to make. Super easy. It was fine, but not exciting. … Continue reading

But when I had leftovers from the tart, I julienned them and found out that done just right, there is nothing gloppy or yucky about it! So this is more about my process than the ingredients, which are … Continue reading

CSA Margherita Pizza

This is my favorite pizza to date. Incredibly fast, incredibly delicious. Steeping the garlic and basil in the olive oil makes it incredibly flavorful. It uses stuff I will have in my CSA box for much of the summer: cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil. Huge hit with the husband and kid. Win! 1-2 cups cherry tomatoes, … Continue reading

Fast and Dirty Southwestern Tortilla Soup

I was stumped for something to cook the other day, but we’ve been going through cold after cold at my house (hello, preschool!) and soup seemed like a good idea. I started out thinking I’d do some kind of kale sausage thing, but switched midstream when I realized I had a bunch of CSA cilantro. … Continue reading
